Custom IllustrationName Badge Design and LayoutPrint ManagementHandwritten Names   /  The 2012  TEDxMacatawa planning team had a singular mission: Do More Good. This theme infiltrated all details of  the conference— name badge included. In an effort to create as little waste as possible, badge information was stripped down to the necessities only: the attendee's name and their personal three-word "Do More Good" statement. Badges were letterpress printed and hand-written on seed paper, and attendees were encouraged to plant their badges and enjoy a wildflower reminder to "Do More Good". For some incredible inspiration, take a peek at a few of the videos.

Kids Get the Shaft

Creative DirectionHand LetteringBook Design and LayoutPrint ManagementWebsite and Social Media DesignKids Get the Shaft began as a cathartic exercise for the author to vent frustration, through poetry, about his broken home. The poems inspired a short book of shared experiences for kids of divorce to rally around and experience community through. The limited black and white color palette points to the common "black and white" discussion style parents default to when discussing their ex. "Angry" handwriting was used to style each poem. Typography and graphics throughout the book are cut from family photos, a nod to the disappearance of the author's family photos after his parents split.
